For the first one, I would complete the square for x ....put that on the left side....everything else on the right side you will ahve to 'massage' the R side so your equation looks like  (x-h)^2 = 4p (y-k)

For the second one , remember the equation for standard form circle with center (h,k) is  (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2

   draw the rectangle.....find the center....that is h,k    then the radius is given as r=60   , but it is a blueprint scaled so 40ft = 2 units  (because the 800 ft dimension only goes to 40 units)

        so r will be drawn as  3 units
