3.2x3.2 = .9x.9     divide both sides by 3.2

x3.2 = (.9/3.2) x.9  divide both sides by x.9

x3.2-.9 = (.9/3.2)

x2.3 =   (.9/3.2)   take the log of both sides

log x2.3 = log(.9/3.2)      and by a log property, we can write

2.3 log x  = log (.9/3.2)   divide both sides by 2.3

log x   =  [log(.9/3.2)]/2.3   and in exponential form, we can write

10 [log(.9/3.2)]/2.3 = x  = about .576
