3 scales, each has two cups to place weighted balls. THere are five balls (A, B, C, D, E) Weights are 30, 50 50, 50, 80.

Scale 1 has balls CD opposing AB. CD is heavier by visual.

Scale 2 has balls EB opposing AC with EB heavier by visual.

Scale 3 has balls AD opposing BCD at equal weights.

Find individual weights of A, B, C, D, and E

THank you. The third scale has cup 1 with A and D, cup 2 has B, C, and E. Thank you for catching my error.

AD = BCE

This means that AD = 50, 80  in some order

And BCE = 30, 50, 50 in some order

CD > AB      and          EB >  AC

C + D    >   B +  A            E + B >    A + C

30 + 80 >  50 + 50         50 + 50 > 50 + 30

A = 50

B = 50

C = 30

D = 80

E = 50
