If your triangle is a right-angle triangle, then if one angle is 45 degrees, that MEANS that the unknown angle must be 45 degrees. And if your given base is 8, it also MEANS that the unknown side must be 8!!. If it is non-right angle triangle, then you must have one of the following conditions:
1-Two sides and an angle opposite one of the known sides
2-Two angles and any side
3-Two sides and their included angle
4-All three sides
