A battery is used to power the electric motor in a toy car. The battery has a measured potential difference of 1.45V when the motor is not on. There is a potential difference of1.38V  when the motor operates drawing a current of 0.35A.

Calculate the internal resistance of the cell.

\(\mbox{The current flow through the internal resistance causes the voltage drop.}\\ dV=i R\\ (1.45-1.38)V = 0.35 R~~ A \Omega \\ R \Omega = \dfrac{0.07 V}{0.35 A} =0.2 \Omega = 200 m\Omega\)
