A bicycle tire has a radius of 10 inches. How many feet will the bicycle travel after 15 revolutions of the tire?

Here, we need to find the circumference.

The formula is 3.14 * diameter for Circumference, and the diameter here is 2x the radius = 20 in.

Therefore, the Circumference = 3.14 * 20 in. = 62.8 in.

 

Now, every time there is a revolution of the tire, the bicycle travels the entire distance of the circumference. I want you to think: Why is that? and reply :D

First solve it for how many inches, then convert to feet. I trust that you can do it wth this information :D
