Is a billion dollars the same in every NATO country?

I'd say it is, now.  In the US a billion is a thousand million.  In England, a billion used to be a million million, but they've changed that now to be a thousand million, same as the US.  I don't know about other NATO countries.

Follow up to my above.  Canada is a NATO country and the French-speaking parts still call 1012 a billion.

I didn't want to check every NATO country individually, so I thought maybe somebody had already done it.

This is what I found:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_and_short_scale#Current_usage

More than I ever wanted to know, LOL.

Thank you for your answers. That's a lot more than I expected. Thank you.

But what happens to the dollars in my trunk?
