A landscape architect is designing a paved courtyard for a new office complex. A scale drawing of the initial plan is shown below.

If the scale of the drawing is 1 cm = 3 yd, what is the perimeter of the actual paved courtyard?

No landscape architect would use that scale nor mix imperial with metric units. Doing so only leads to errors and contractor confusion.  typically, a landscape architect would use an architectural or engineering scale such as 3/4" : 1'-0" or 1" : 10'.   Some use 1" = 10' but how can that be?  The perimeter length isn't of much concern in the construction documents.  But, calculation of area is needed for determining quantities for earthwork, stone or concrete base material and the pavers and used for estimating or bidding purposes.  Good luck with your comps!
