Find the cost per ounce as follows:

2.39/28=0.085... or about 8.5 cents per ounce.

.55/6 =.092.....    or about 9.2 cents per ounce.

So, the large can is cheaper.

We need to find the price per ounce for each

This is given by    Total Price / Quantity    .......so we have

2.39 / 28 = 8.5 cents per ounce

And

.55  / 6   = about 9.16 cents per ounce

So

The larger size is cheaper
