Why does (-.6+100%=-1.2)? I was recently told by one of my high school teachers that the previous equation (-.6+100%) was equal to 0. When I questioned this, I was told to prove why it wasn't. I couldn't prove it but I know that it doesn't equal 0. Could someone help me?
a negative plus a positive will be negative. As you can see. Then the decimle goes with it. If you do any math with a %. It'll most likely equal a lower number than before... :)
