Trey receives a 5% commission on every sale he makes. On the sale of a 60 dollar coat (before any discounts), how many more cents will he receive if his commission is based on the original price of the coat rather than the price of the coat after a 20% discount?

Im not sure but is it like, a $60 coat with a 20% discount costs 60(0.8) = 48 dollars. The difference in commission is 0.05(60 - 48) = 0.05(12) = 0.6 cents.

I think it is .6 dollars = 60 cents

60 x .05 = $ 3.00

48 x .05 =  2.40
