Mulpiplication/division have the same priority and are done in order from left to right (example - 3/4*2 is done as 3/4, then *2).
Same thing goes with addition/subtraction.
Everything else is done from top to bottom.
"Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" is a nifty little way to remember the order of operations. Do enough practice problems, and pretty soon you'll have it memorized.
