I'm assuming you meant y^7 on the last part.

14x(4xy^14)(-4x^-10y^7)

14x(4)(xy^14)(-x^-10y^7)

56x(xy^14)(-y^7/x^10)

56x(xy^7/x^10)

56y^7/x^8

IDK:

simplify the given expression.
14x(4xy^14)(-4x^-10y7)

I got a different answer from you Walt. (plus, it is easier to read if you use the superscript button (sup) when you do indice questions )

14x(4xy^14)(-4x^-10y7)

= 14 * 4 * -4 * x * x * x -10 * y 14 * y 7

= -224 x -8 y 21

= -224 y 21 / x 8

I haven't looked at your answer properly, maybe mine is the one that is wrong.
