I have no idea what to do here.

 

Stevie consumes two goods. The expenditure function is given by:

$$e(p_1,p_2,u) = \frac{up_1p_2}{p_1+p_2}$$

a) Determine the direct utility function of Stevie

b) it is given that the Hicksian demand of Stevie for good 2 equals 4 if $$p_1 = 2 \mbox{ and } u = 25$$

Determine the value of $$p_2$$

Where I come from we learn this in 3rd grade. O’Course, I never passed 3rd grade…. Well, finally I did, cause the teacher was tired o' looking at me.

Maybe the teacher will get tired o' looking at you too.
