OK. so first things first
7.5x10^3
75000.
^^^
1 23
(thats my horrible picture example)
Since the 10 is to the 3rd power you would move the decimal 3 to the right making the number bigger.

then
5x10^5
500000.0
^^^^^
And the same description except with five instead of three.

Thankyou for that response zoomasd. I always like to see people getting involved.

Considering how big these numbers are it might be more sensible to leave them in scientific notation.

7.5 x 10 3 x 5 x 10 5

= 7.5 x 5 x 10 3 x 10 5

= 37.5 x 10 8

= 3.75 x 10 1 x 10 8

= 3.75 x 10 9

this is the most sensible way to leave it but if you want to change it to normal notation then it would be 3,750,000,000
