1st question:
The first blank is the factored out form of (x2−y2)2, which is x4−2x2y2+y4.
The second blank is achieved by combining like terms. 2x4−2x2y2+2y2.
The third blank is just factoring 2x4−2x2y2+2y2 into 2(x4−x2y2+y2) by taking out 2.
