Hello Guest!

\(32uz\cdot 4\%=(32uz+x)\cdot 2.5\%\\ 32\cdot 0.04uz=0.025\cdot 32uz+0.025x\\ 32\cdot 0.04uz-32\cdot 0.025uz=0.025x\\ x=\frac{32\cdot 0.04uz-32\cdot 0.025uz}{0.025}\)

\(x=19.2uz\)

19.2uz skim milk should be added to 32 ounes of whole milk to obtain a mixture that is 2.5% butterfat.
