(3x2+4x+8)+(2x2-6x+3)=5x2-2x+11

(5x2-2x+11)+y=9x2-2x-5

Solve algebraically. Subtract 5x2 from both sides, add 2x to both sides, subtract 11 from both sides.

y=4x2-16

So, the equation needed is 4x2-16
