You can solve this problem one step at a time:)

One elephant eats 500 lbs of food, so 2 elephants would eat (2*500) lbs, which is 1000 lbs of food.

That is how much 2 elephants eat each day, and there are 7 days in a week.

So the pounds of food for 2 elephants in a week would be (1000*7) lbs

= 7,000 lbs of food

 

*to feed the two elephants at the zoo, not "all the elephants" in the world*
