There are three rectangular areas, each of which has the area of  (8 x 3)cm^2 = 24 cm^2....so these three areas have a total area of 72 cm^2

There are also three other "curved" areas. The angle opposite the "curved" part is 120°....then....these three areas would actually just comprise a circle with a radius of 3.......and the total area is just pi*(3)^2 =  9pi cm^2

So...the total area would be (72 + 9pi)cm^2 = about 100.274 cm^2
