An oil storage tank ruptures at time t = 0 and oil leaks from the tank at a rate of

r(t) = 70e^−0.05t liters per minute. How much oil leaks out during the first hour? (Round your answer to the nearest liter.)

One hour = 60 minutes   so use that for 't' in your calculations.

You have a RATE that changes with TIME, so you will need to do some calculus to get the answer.....are you doing calculus?   Or is this REALLY an AMOUNT of oil that has leaked at time 't' ????

Integrating your rate equation yields:    -1400e(-t/20)  + C    Ignoring the 'C'   and using   t = 60

yields  69.7= 70  liters (rounded) have accumulated (leaked) in 1 hour

I used an online integral calculator for this answer....hope it was correct....hope this helps)
