22 mph = 22/60 miles per minute = 22*1760/60 yardsper minute = 22*1760*3/60 feet per minute = 22*1760*3*12/60 inches per minute = 23232 inches per minute.

One revolution is a distance of 2*pi*23 inches, so that's 46pi inches per revolution

The number of revolutions per minute at 22 mph is therefore 23232/(46pi) revolutions per minute ≈ 161 rpm

22mph   =    inches/ sec?    22 (5280) (12) / 60 = 23232 in /min       Wheel Circ = 46pi

23232/(46 pi) = 160.76 rpm
