Area of a circle = \(\pi r^2\) . So we have 36\(\pi\) . But that's assuming that there is 360 degrees in the circle. So we have \(\frac {48}{360} \cdot 36\pi = \frac {1728\pi}{360} = 4.8\pi\) .
