You can break the shapes up. The left triangle's area is 0.5 x 2 x 2 = 2 units^{2}

The square's area is 2 x 2 = 4 units^{2}, and finally the right side triangle's area is 0.5 x 2 x 6 = 6 units^{2}

6 + 4 + 2 = 12 , just like centslord said :)

Hello Guest!

When you find the answer of each induvidual part, you would get that the different areas are: 2, 4, and 6.

Adding them together, you get that the total area is 12 units squared.

I hope this helped!
