I know this isn't really math but...

(Don't worry about this number. 2) C2H+ O2   ->  H2O + CO2

3) KOH + H3PO4  ->  K3PO4 + H2O2

5) NH+ O2  ->  NO + H2O

Ok well here is an example...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Preview)

SnO2 + H2  ->  Sn + H2O

Here is the starting chemical equation. You need the same ammount of atoms on each side                                               of each atom. So you need the same ammount of "Sn" on each side. And "O". And "H". And so on and so forwth.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Answer)

SnO2 + 2H2  ->  Sn + 2H20

So here is the answer to balance out the equation.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Review)

Notice I put a 2 in front of H2 and H2O. Now there is...

(1)Sn (2)O  (4)H

Hope that helped a bit! (On how to do it of course)

3.)     koh   +  h3po4  -->  k3po4  + h2o2         We need at least 3 k's to balance, so lets start by adding to the left

        3koh   + h3po4 -->  k3po4 +h2o2           Now the h's need to balance  you have 6 on the left...add some to the right

       3koh + h3po4          k3po4 + 3h2o2         Now the o's need to balance (we can only add o's with koh ...and we have to add them three at a time due to the k3po4 on the right equation.....this results in:

       6koh + 2h3po4  --> 2k3po4 +3h2o2

Disagree with Omi67   on #3    O  does not balance on L and R  I think Guest 4 has it correct
