The domain is all of the 'x' values which are allowed in the expression....

   In this example, you cannot have a zero denominator    so  x = -8 would not be allowed

       can you see another 'x' that is not allowed? (which would result in a zero denominator?)

Just considering REAL numbers for the domain of the fxn.

 

so   -8   and  -2   would be excluded    from all 'x'
