There is a general rule for logarithms that  logn(a) + logn(b) = logn(a*b)  so:

 

18.    log10(5) + log10(x) = log10(25)  means we can write  log10(5x) = log10(25).  For this to be true we must have 5x  =  25  or  x = 5.

 

See if you can now do 19.
