There are 24 hours per day, hence, 2 days have 48 hours (2 x 24).  The equation is Rate times Time equals distance.  Rate is 60 mph.  Time is 48 hours.  60 x 48 = 2880.  So the answer is 2,880 miles were traveled in the 2 day road trip with no stops with the car going 60 mph.

There are 24 hours in a day. So each hour, the car goes 60 miles. Therefore every day, the car goes 1,440 miles per day. Every two days it goes 1,440 x 2, which equals 2,880 miles.
