"Carrie is collecting data to find out how much time people in her neighborhood spend at the community pool. Which of the following factors will have the greatest effect on the data she collects?

- Which day the person visits the pool
- How much the person spends at the pool
- The weather outside
- The age of the person"

Carrie is looking for the amount of time people spend at the pool.

-Which day the person goes to the pool does not give us a true measure of how much time they spend there, it just gives a day on which the person was going to the pool. Using this data would change it from "How much time a person spends at the pool" to "What day people go to the pool"

-How much the person spends at the pool affects nothing in particular. This data would be more used to measure how much a person spends at the pool, and possibly with more specific data what people buy.

- The age of the person has no bearing on how much time somebody will spend at a pool. Age is a surprisingly steady constant, going up at a set rate and unwavering from that rate.

-The weather outside does have an effect on people going to the pool. Generally, if it is a hot and sunny day, people will go to the pool to cool off (As I know all too well down in Southern California  ). If it is a cold and cloudy/borderline rainy day, people will likely not go the pool, because the pool will serve to make them colder on an already cold day. Unless, of course, you're into swimming in cold water, like when I went up to Oregon and swam in the ocean, and nearly got hypothermia.

Therefore, the data of the weather outside would be most beneficial to the data she is collecting on how much time people spend at the pool.
