I'm having trouble in my Chemistry class. If you measure 375 g of pure sulfur, which has a density of 2.07 g/cm^3 what volume would the sulfur occupy? I'm so sorry to be a bother...It seems like my me being on the planet seems to bother everyone...

Firstly I will look at your question and you are definitely not a bother!

If you measure 375 g of pure sulfur, which has a density of 2.07 g/cm^3 what volume would the sulfur occupy?

$$You have 375g of sulfur, and$$       $$\frac{2.07g}{1cm^3}$$

$$Find the volume of this sulfur THAT IS find cm^3$$

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I just want to talk about this bit

If  2.07grams of sulfur takes up 1cm^3 of volume.

then is is also correct to say that 1cm^3 will hold 2.07grams of sulfur

$$So\;if \quad \dfrac{2.07g}{1cm^3}\qquad is\;true\; then \qquad \dfrac{1cm^3}{2.07g} \quad is\;also\;true$$

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

$$\frac{375g}{1}\times \frac{1cm^3}{2.07g}\\\\
=\frac{375 \not{g}}{1}\times \frac{1cm^3}{2.07 \not{g}}\qquad \mbox{the grams cancel out}\\\\
=\frac{375 cm^3}{2.07}\\\\
=181.159cm^3$$

This is how I do all my rates questions - I use the units to 'tell' me what to do.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now as far a being depressed goes,  have you tried talking to you parents?  I know that this is often not a helpful option but I also know that sometimes parents (or other relatives) can surprise you.

ALSO

Every country has different services.  There are usually school or community councillors.  Doctors can also put you in contact with appropriate services.  I believe that talking to professionally trained councillors who are not in your friend of family circles can be hugely beneficial.  Usually these services are very confidential so other people do not need to know what you talk about or even that you have talked at all.

Lastly

Try to balance your life, school, work, social, family, exercise, etc all these things are important. Try to make time for each.

Plus

You are not the bother that you think you are.  It is easy to build the little things people say to you up in your head and make them much more significant then they really are when you are feeling down.

Cheer up.  No one wants you to be miserable.

Volume = Mass/density.

Now plug the numbers in!

I think the same. I think that no one wants you to be misrable. I surely don't. I think that you shouldn't take what people say seriously and do plenty of things that make you happy. You are certainly not a bother, you are a gift to this earth and I just think that you should know that. You are a present. You are a coin, you only get to spend it once, so spend it happily.
