A bit of fun here:
This is probably the most popular and well known Australian Christmas song.
All the children learn it at school :)

This is a shorter version with pictures that might help you understand better.

-------------------
A kelpie is an Australian working dog.
An esky is a cooler - ice chest.
Thongs - these are footware, you might call them flip flops or jandels
I like the Aussie version! Unfortunately, here in the middle to high latitudes of the northern hemisphere the ice is likely to be on the outside of the esky at this time of year!
Thanks Alan
I could not cope with living in a really cold place.
Yesterday was the hottest December day on record for the last 10 years.
It was 39 degrees C. It is supposed to be 37 today.
February is our hottest month :)
Yep.....the "esky" can be pesky
When it freezes with the breezes
And Iceland is brisk
But, so are the Poles
Given my 'druthers
One way or another
I'll hop on a freighter
Headed for the Equator !!!!!!
LOL Thanks Chris,
This is the first poem that you have submitted in ages.
I guess you have been developing your literary art in private so that you could present us with this master peice.
I LIKE IT!
