in this circle, there is 90^{o }+ 45^{o} + 3x + 2x = 360^{o }So x = 45^{o }and 2x = 90 degrees

90 degrees is a fraction of 360^{o }90/360

so the shaded area is 90/360 * pi * (8^{2}) =~ 50.26 in^{2}
