Let $A$ be the lateral surface area of the cone below, and let $B$ be the lateral surface area of the cylinder below. Find $\frac{A}{B}.$

The radius of the cylinder is 10.

Lateral surface area of  cone =  pi * r * L

Where L = sqrt (33^2 + 10^2)

Lateral surface area of cylinder  =  2pi * 10 * 17  =  340pi

A / B  =   [ pi * 10 * sqrt ( 33^2 + 10^2) ]  / [ 340 pi ] =     sqrt (33^2 + 10^2)  / 34  =

sqrt ( 1189)   / 34   ≈   1.015
