Which of the following points is not collinear with (3, 6) and (-2, -9)?
A. (0, -3)
B. (3, 6)
C. (-1, -6)
D. (0, -4)
B is certainly on the line.
gradient = \(\frac{rise}{run}=\frac{-9-6}{-2-3}=\frac{-15}{-5}=\frac{3}{1}\)
So for every 3 the line goes up it runs along 1 in the positive direction so the points on the line will be
(-2,-9)
(-1,-6)
(0,-3)
(1,0)
(2,3)
(3,6)
So which one is not there?
