Firstly, we must solve the first inequality:

7w ≤ 8w − 4

7w + 4 ≤ 8w

4 ≤ w

 

The second:

 3 − 5w > 33

 −5w > 30

w < -6 (remember to flip the sign when dividing by a negative)

 

Now, express both inequalities in interval notation and join them (because either one of the intervals will make the statement true, as signalled by "or"). This gives our final answer of  (-∞, -6) ∪ [4, ∞).
