If he paid a $200 deductible and then $1800  beyond this, he must have paid $2000  [not counting his cost of the premium]

 

Company's part of the premium  =  2 * 350   =  $700

 

If Jay paid 10%  of the expenses beyond the deductible.....the total expenses beyond the deductible  = 1800/.10  = 18000......and the company covered 90% of this = $16200

 

Total Jay paid =   350 + 200 + 1800   =  $2350
