Containers A and B have leaks. Container A has 800ml of water and is leaking 7ml per minute. Container B has 1200ml and is leaking 12ml per minute. After how many minutes will the two containers have the same amount? What is that amount?

well after about 10 minutes of doing the math I can say it's 80 minutes. You can check the work by doing 7 ml times 80 minutes equals 560 ml minus 800 equals 240 ml after 80 minutes in the 800 ml container. then you do 12 ml times 80 minutes equals 960 ml minus 1200 to get 240 ml in container b after 80 minutes. after 80 minutes both containers will have the same amount of water which is 240 mL

800 - 7m ==1200 - 12m, solve for m

m=80 minutes before they equalize

800 - [7 * 80] ==1200 - [12 * 80]

240 = 240 Liters remaining in the 2 containers.
