Since the subcommitte of 3 members must all be Republican,

the first member must be Republican (a probability of 5/14),

the second member must also be Republican (a probability of 4/13),

and the third member must also be Republican (a probability of 3/12).

 

To find the final probability, multiply these probabilities:  5/14 x 4/13 x 3/12.
