It takes 24 minutes for Jana to walk one mile. At that rate, how far in miles will she walk in 10 minutes? Express your answer as a decimal to the nearest tenth.
I'm obviously not CPhill but
if it takes Jana 24 minutes to walk 1 mile
then it takes her 1 minute to walk 1/24 miles
so in 10 minutes she'll walk
\(\frac{1}{24}\times10\) = \(\frac{10}{24}\)
as a decimal and rounded to the nearest tenth
the answer is 0.4
