When theta = 45° then the spot will be at (x, y) = (100, r*sin(45°))
Since r = 100/cos(45°) at that point, then (x, y) = (100, 100*sin(45°)/cos(45°)) = (100,100)
Then the radial velocity vector will be in a direction at 45° to the horizontal in the positive x and positive y direction; the angular velocity vector will be in a direction at 45° to the horizontal in the negative x and positive y direction.
