1. Describe the two transformations that occur to the parent function f(x)=√x when transformed to the function g(x)=2√x+3

2. Then, describe the domain and range of g(x). (You may use Interval Notation or Words)

 g(x)=2√x+3

The transformed function vertically stretches the parent by a factor of 2  and up 3 units

The domain is  [ 0, inf )

The range is [3, infinity )

if the transformed funtion is supposed to be

 g(x)=2√ (x+3)

The parent is vertically stretched by a factor of 2  and shifted to the left by 3 units

The domain is [ -3, infinity )

The range is [0, infinity )
