For the first one, you are given two points....calculate the slope using this method:

For the second one,  the mid point will be given by the averages of the x and y values

 I'll do the 'x' one.....you do the 'y' one

 (x1 + x2)   / 2 =  (1+5)/2 = 3   = x point of the midpoint.....now for the y:
