\(\frac{1}{2}\)     Like that ?     Click on Latex    then Math and enter the numbers you want in the fraction template.....not sure it is worth the trouble most of the time ...

So, you click on the LaTeX button and then on the Math button, then you pick the first option where there are two bracket-like things.

And if you do it correctly, your fraction should turn out like this: \(\frac{1}{2}\).
