The domain of the equation y = 3x/(x^2 - 6x + 4)  is the set of all real numbers with the exception of the values x = A and x = B. What is A + B?

What is A + B?

Hello Guest!

The function is indefinite for the x-values of the equation x ^ 2 - 6x + 4 = 0.

\(x ^ 2 - 6x + 4 = 0\\ x=3\pm\sqrt{9-4}\\ x=3\pm\sqrt{5}\)

\(A=3+\sqrt{5}\\ B=3-\sqrt{5}\\ A+B=6\)
