Find the domain of the function f(x) = sqrt(sqrt(x^2 - 16) + 3).

x^2 - 16    needs to be > =   0    first of all   ( no sqrt of a negative)

 

 

    THEN    sqrt(x^2-16)    also needs to be >= 0

 

x^2 >= 16

x >= 4   <= -4               so  far       -4 >=x>=4     

 

   These values will result in a positive sqrt .....adding +3   will still be a positive sqrt
