Find the domain of these functions.

1) \(y=3{log}_{2}(x+5)\)

2) \(y=(x-2)^3+1\)

3) \(y=2^{\frac{x}{4}}-3\)

4) \(y=\left |2x+5 \right |-3\)

5) \(y=(\frac{1}{2}x-1)^2+3\)

6) \(y=\sqrt{6-3x}\)

7)  \(y=\frac{4}{3-x}-2\)

1.   We can't take the log of a negative or 0...... so.....domain ⇒ x > -5

2.   all real numbers

6.   6 - 3x  must be ≥ 0  .....so...... x ≤ 2

7.   all reals except  x = 3    [ 3 makes the denominator  = 0 ]
