You don't need a calculator for this! :)

sin⁴(0) + 2sin²(0)cos²(0) - 1 + cos⁴(0)

 

sin(0) is 0, and 0 raised to any power is 0, so....

= 0 + 2(0)cos²(0) - 1 + cos⁴(0)

 

= 0 + 0 - 1 + cos⁴(0)

 

= -1 + cos⁴(0)

 

cos(0) = 1, and 1⁴ = 1

= -1 + 1

 

= 0
