Your question is very poorly written but I think i know what you mean.
there are 12 tagged ducks and 6/20 of the ducks appear to be tagged so
\(\frac{6}{20}=\frac{12}{x}\\ 6x=240\\ x=40\)
So there is about 40 ducks altogether.
