One object is broken into two imperfect halves and both are rotated at two different angles. The apparent width of the two halves are Apw(1) and Apw(2), while the apparent thickness of the halves are Apt(1) and Apt(2).  The apparent height of each half is assumed to be the same, Aph. When the object is broken, the width increases while the height either increases or decreases. The change in height is proportional to the total difference in width.

If the original object had equal height and width, what are the equations for:

a. The change in height over change in width

b. Total Elongation
