Okay so you want to solve the equation y = 0.5738x +79.214 where y = 170?

Then if we replace y with 170 we have

170 = 0.5738x + 79.214

first lets substract 79.214 from both sides, then we have

170+79.214 = 0.5738x

secondly, we divide both sides by 0.5738. So we have;

(170+79.214)/0.5738 = x

Flip the sides and we have

x = (170+79.214)/0.5738 = 434.32 (approximately)

As you can see, I did not need the information that R 2 = 0.9987

perhaps you also wanted to know what R is.

We can calculate that by taking the square root of both sides which gives

R = sqrt(0.9987) = 0.9993 (approximately)
